Midnight Sunset at Margaritaville Resort

The resort is nothing short of amazing!!! It has a relaxing spa, Lots of places to eat, listen to music, live music, everything is within walking distance.

Enough space for big families to enjoy each other and go in your room for a nice nap to get away from everyone… The walk around balcony is awesome for the black sheep smokers .. make sure you bring extra towels, pans ,propane tank! The sliding doors are a pain.it rings every 15 seconds the door is open. You can’t just enjoy the breeze or sun from outside …

We stayed in the three-bedroom elite cottage. We had our own pool and hot tub. Pool was always foggy colored and never clean Clearwater. We had a maintenance man randomly show up to change the pool filter which honestly should’ve done prior to our arrival. Told us to stay on the pool for an hour. And then the hot tub never worked after that. We did call the front desk to complain about the hot tub never working after that the maintenance man showed up and it’s still never began to work. We did ask the front desk if we could have a broom and vacuum brought back to the room so that we could continue to clean up after ourselves during our five day stay Whereas the front desk attendant very rudely told us they don’t own any vacuums, and could not supply that but they would bring a broom immediately, which took six hours to receive. Our televisions in all of the rooms, including our bedrooms, turned on multiple times every 20 to 30 minutes randomly throughout the night which woke every single one of us up, including the toddlers multiple times every single night. We called again to complain to the front desk attendant, which hung up on me after telling me just unplug the TVs. They did say they were going to put in a work order and they would be there that morning and never did arrive. They do not have front door locks of any kind outside of the key card from the outside so when you have a small toddlers, they can just walk out the front door of the cottage anytime they please. This is a very unsafe issue and I would change that immediately. We are sad to say but very disappointing. The place was beautiful it was clean. But definitely not something kid friendly unless you were on top of your toddlers like we had to be every moment. The staff was very rude when you called for any issue. They have a really great safety feature for the doors that go to the pool when it comes to around the pool it does have an alarm which was wonderful and they did provide a deadbolt as well. I just don’t understand why the front door would not have the same safety feature as a lock from the inside. Overall it was a beautiful resort but I will not return with small kids. My big kids would enjoy this more so.
