Simple hotel, nothing too fancy. Good beds and strong AC. Breakfast needs some work, such as food covers against flies. Staff is helpful.
Unprofessional staff, inattentive, sit around doing nothing when things need attention (like missing cutlery, entering rooms while the do not disturb sign is up, tongs were dropped on the floor and then put back on the buffet table etc.). The staff literally don't even want to speak to you - it's like the guests are an inconvenience to them when their job should be to make sure that guests are taken care of. The rooms were good, the location was nice (away from the hectic old quarter), but that's kind of where the positives stop. Oh, and don't expect the staff to speak English, you'll need Google translate.
Very INCONSIDERATE and UNPROFESSIONAL hotel. On Tuesday September 3rd, I called the front desk and requested to extend until Friday the 6th. I made sure to repeat the request twice so that there would be no misunderstanding. My wife just completed surgery nearby and I specifically looked for a comfortable hotel where she could relax and recover for a few days before we left the city. On Thursday the 5th, they called our room and we were told that we had to leave. They made a mistake and overbooked and they wanted us to move to a different hotel. I asked if there was any way to stay as repacking and moving all of our luggage was not easy to do while my wife was out of commission. Not only that but we were also in the midst of going through her post surgery medical care which takes over an hour to complete so we were forced to rush through that process. For complete transparency, they found us accommodation across the street but it should have never come to this. I believe that the considerate and professional solution would have been to contact one of the incoming guests and assist them with finding another hotel instead of inconveniencing current guests. The rest of the staff (reception and housekeeping) were nothing but kind and considerate to us during our stay so this review is not a reflection of their service. Rather this was a complete failure of hotel MANAGEMENT.
