Beautiful! Wonderful! Waterfront, great view. Nice big very clean rooms. Good restaurant. Excellent service from attentive staff. I recommend it.

We had a very pleasant time the hotel. Breakfast was good and the rooms were simple but very tidy. The free kayaks were cool and allow you to explore the Lagune by yourself. Staff was super friendly and we were allowed to use all the hotels facilities after check out

Ok- we (my 9 yr old daughter and i) read the reviews before coming and understood it was not an ideal place but wanted to give it a try. First the rooms are clean, the staff super nice, breakfast service was great, location on the lagoon for the price, you can’t beat BUT the manager- a woman- who is the contact number for the hotel is a problem. She doesn’t respond to the messages- and tells you her phone doesn’t work. We were in room 2 which was close to the entrance, hence the highway so a bit loud. We loved Bacalar so decided to stay a 2nd night. I booked online and asked the manager for a room farther from entrance, a quieter one. She said room 6 was available but it was the exact same level of noise. I insisted to move so she caved in. In room 6, noise level much better, but the toilet stopped flushing in the morning so I texted the WhatsApp number for a few hours while we had breakfast and no response. We didn’t feel like showering and using the toilet at all after. We checked out at noon with not a great feeling about this place. Manager was not present this morning and the guy at the front looked hopeless as I explained. If you come here, and cannot handle the above, maybe check out other options. We loved Bacalar! Also if the manager responds to this post saying we are fake than I will post althe most unpleasant pics of our stay.
