Milkwood Manor on Sea

This is a really, really great place, right next to the beach. The rooms are wonderful. So pretty and the view is amazing. The people are so nice and helpfull, esspecially the lady at the entrance. It was a pity we just could stay there for a single night. But we will be back for more!

We stayed at Milkwood Manor on Sea for two nights and were very pleased with our experience. The rooms were beautifully furnished, creating a cozy atmosphere. During our stay, we only had breakfast as the restaurant was closed for the winter months. The breakfast offered was good with sufficient choices to start the day off right. The location of the hotel is unbeatable, right by the sand dunes and the sea. There was a long beach right in front of the hotel, perfect for long walks and relaxation. Overall, it was a great stay that we would happily recommend.

A beautiful place right by the beach. The staff was really sweet and welcomed us with a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our honeymoon, even though we were just staying there for one night. Considering the price, the hotel did fall short on a number of points. Our room was not great. It was dark and did not have any view at all. You can of course pay extra to get a room on the second floor with a seaside view. We had a loud fridge next to the bed which kept waking us up. The safe didn't work. The lamps on the night tables had horrible cold light, which could probably be fixed by simply changing to warmer lighting bulbs. The restaurant has it's own page so I will review it there but basically it was not great. Breakfast tasted fine but was a slow affair, since there is no buffet and both servers and the kitchen took a fair bit of time. Do not expect a quick breakfast. They also got the order wrong.
