Absolutely fantastic place. Bill and lynn great hosts and Brodie, very dog friendly. The cottages, we were in shore view are gorgeous and everything and more that you would need. Metal detecting wasn’t as great but did a great beach tidy with it😆 early morning walk and late night garden perfection.

Hi we have just stayed with Bill & Lynne and their beautiful dog Brodie. We stayed in Torre View the accommodation was spotlessly clean the attention to detail was outstanding. A little slice of heaven with hosts who went over and above to accommodate us. This definitely not our last stay even though we have moved to the area to live what a find !!! Matt & Deb Cumiskey Ps check out Lynnes pottery shop on site absolutely beautiful bespoke pottery creations

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I found Mill of Nethermill Holidays by accident whilst searching through Booking.Com. It looked just the ideal place we were wanting to stay at for 4 nights of chilling out by the sea. I visited Mill of Nethermill Holiday's own website to see more about the accommodation and details of the local area. The website is very informative and when looking at pricing I found it was much cheaper than booking via a third party. We originally booked Shore View (a two bed cottage) for 4 nights Mon-Fri in 2024 for a 2025 stay but last minute we saw that the Sunday night was available. We contacted Bill and Lyn the owners to see if we could book the extra night at short notice and they confirmed this would be possible and that we could even check in early if we wanted to! Email communications throughout were great and it was easy to pay the balance of the holiday (deposit taken at booking). Upon arriving at the cottage (directions given at confirmation of booking), Bill and Brodie (his dog) greeted us and showed us around. Parking was down round the back of the main cottage but we were able to unload the car outside of Shore View. Mill of Nethermill Holidays has its own access to a small stretch of beach. There is public access and when we arrived there was a large group of people swimming and having a fire. This didn't bother us and we saw several vehicles and people throughout our stay. Camping on the beach is allowed so there were a couple of tents but they had pitched down the quiet end of the beach out of the way and were no bother. Shore View cottage itself is lovely and has everything you need with a kitchen/lounge and a large walk in bathroom. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and the main bedroom is up about 6 stairs to the first floor where there is a sloped ceiling and a window looking out to the sea. I am disabled and found the cottage accessible for my needs, although I found the bed a little too high for a shorty like myself. Everything was clean and tidy and well presented. Shore View is also dog friendly. There is a fridge and small freezer, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, oven and hob. We didn't really use much of the kitchen facilities since we brought our Ninja with us, but we did eat out one night with takeaway from the Hai-O Chinese in Fraserburgh. The food was very nice with large portions and not too expensive. We didn't try any of the other food recommendations (left in a very well thought out folder in the lounge) as we preferred to cook our own meals during our stay. Asda and Tesco were easy to get to in Fraserburgh for supplies. Homemade brownies and some whisky were left for us on arrival. We don't drink but I did try the whisky (as it was rude not to) and it had a peaty smell/taste to it and was pleasant. The brownies were delicious. Bill and Lyn supply you with a few bits to keep you going during your stay such as hand soap, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, kitchen towel, a couple of loo rolls and bin bags. They ask you to recycle which is pretty easy to follow (look in the book) and the bins are behind the cottage. Used towels and bedding go into blue IKEA bags on the day of departure. We walked to the beach from the cottage and watched the waves crash on the shore. The weather wasn't great with wind and rain but it was still nice to see the sea. We had taken our metal detector with us but sadly didn't get to use it, however Bill has one on site that guests can use along with fishing rods and wood for fire pits and bbqs. Bill and Lyn have thought of everything. Lyn has a small pottery and shop on site but we didn't get chance to pop in. Their website does show pictures of her work so drop by and have a look. Phone signal was non existent for us during our stay until we drove out up onto the main road. There was WiFi in the cottage but this was a bit hit and miss with one day there being none at all. We spent a few days driving around all the local towns and villages taking in the scenery and history. There are plenty of places to go and wildlife to see.
