We stayed at Al-Aqeeq Hotel in Madinah for the last 10 days of Ramadan 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable—just a street away from Masjid-e-Nabawi, which made access to prayers extremely convenient. The staff throughout the hotel were exceptional—gracious, helpful, and always professional. Our room was clean and well-serviced daily. While some sound from the adjacent room was occasionally audible and elevators got busy during peak hours, these were minor compared to the overall comfort. The food service was a standout—abundant, delicious, and beautifully managed during Suhoor and Iftar. The kitchen and wait staff deserve special praise for their attentiveness and hospitality. This hotel delivers both luxury and spiritual ease, and we are grateful for the care shown during such a blessed time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting during Ramadan or any time of year.
I recently stayed at Hotel Aqeeq in Medina, and while the overall stay was pleasant, the check-in process was very disappointing. I had requested early check-in by emailing and trying to contact the hotel in advance, but received no response at all. When I arrived around 10 a.m., I was tired and exhausted from travel. The receptionist told me the room was available, clean, and ready—but I couldn’t check in unless I paid an additional 350 riyals. I explained that I had tried to confirm early check-in beforehand, and i was with my elderly but nobody replied. Still, they insisted I pay. After some back and forth, and only when I pushed and argued, the receptionist spoke to the manager. Eventually, they allowed me to check in for free, but it took a long time and felt unnecessarily difficult . the room itself was excellent—spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The location was good. The overall ambiance of the hotel was good, and even the lift/elevator was smooth and well-maintained. Everything about the stay was great, except for the check-in experience. I hope the management improves communication and customer service at the front desk. A better welcome would have made a big difference.
I stayed at this hotel in July 2024, expecting a high standard of service, especially from a five star establishment. For the most part, the stay was smooth until the final day, which completely ruined the experience for me and my family. We were denied entry to breakfast, despite having paid for it as part of our room package and having eaten there the morning before. I tried to explain this to the staff member at the breakfast entrance, but he refused to acknowledge it. I then went to reception, where I was told, unhelpfully, that "there's nothing they can do." Ten minutes before breakfast was due to end, I received a call in my room from reception admitting a mistake had been made: we had, in fact, been entitled to breakfast. We rushed down with our family, hoping to finally eat, but as we were filling our plates, the staff were already packing away the buffet. I explained the situation again, but it made no difference. We were left standing there with little to no food and immense frustration. Later that day, hotel administration came to our room, apologised for the poor experience, and promised a partial refund for the inconvenience and for a service we clearly didn’t receive. I appreciated the gesture at the time, but that refund never came. It’s now been over a year, and despite sending multiple follow-up emails, I have received zero response. No refund, no communication, nothing. I am beyond disappointed. Not only did I pay for something I never received, but I was promised compensation and completely ignored afterwards. This is unacceptable from any hotel, let alone one that claims to be five star. I rarely ever leave negative reviews, and this is actually the first one I've ever written, but I felt compelled to speak up because of how unfairly and disrespectfully I was treated. It's incredibly disappointing to be forced into this position, especially after being so patient for over a year.I feel disrespected, violated, and extremely let down by how this was handled. I would caution others to think twice before trusting this hotel with your time or your money.
