Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen

The hotel is abit aged but consideing the location, online pricing its decent. But there is a huge difference between normal and premier rooms. Normal rooms smell of old cigarettes, from the lobby all the way to the room. Carpets feel tired and a trite bit dirty. Premier rooms are on another level, feels like how a 5 star hotel should be. Clean and refreshed lobby, no cigarette smells anywhere and the rooms feel superiorly clean. I would reccomend the premier room if you can stretch the budget Breakfast Buffer was decent

The attentiveness and the politeness of the hotel staff are the edges for our decision to extend our stay in this hotel. We, a group of seven, originally only booked two nights of our five nights stay in Xiamen. We received warm welcome by the Ms Wendy, the F&B Manager, who also arranged our airport transfer on the last day of our stay. We tried the Cantonese restaurant at the hotel many times and the quality of the food never disappointed us. It was difficult to find another comparable decent restaurant nearby. We will definitely consider staying in Millennium Harbourview again when we visit Xiamen again.

Location of Hotel is perfect. Walking distance from the shopping street. Located beside train station, shopping mall and eateries option. Hotel chain is reputable and hence very safe to use. Thoughtful amenities which include massage salon, DIY washing machine and dryer, and steamer. The room is a little old but they are gradually renovating. The air con vent a little old and gave off rattling sound while we sleep. I am a light sleeper but luckily the sound not so bad and i can sleep with ear plug. Pillow too soft but they gave the buckwheat pillow which worked. TV channels are local and international news channel. Not much choice. Service is good. Swift check in and check out. On the second stay, they gave 720 which reek of smell. I requested to change and they change my room immediately.
