I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Millennium Hotel on Gloucester Road for two nights to celebrate a dear friend’s birthday, and I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. We were generously upgraded to a stunning suite, complete with two beautiful bathrooms, a spacious living area, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The attention to detail was impeccable. As it was a special occasion, we were touched to find the suite thoughtfully decorated, with a handwritten card and a gorgeous cake awaiting us on arrival — such a beautiful and personal gesture. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, on our second night, we were surprised once again with a complimentary bottle of wine and a birthday dessert. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality and care. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities throughout the hotel were fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the delicious buffet breakfast each morning — a great variety and absolutely delicious. A huge thank you to the entire team — from the warm and helpful concierge to the lovely maids who serviced our room with a smile. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, professional, and made us feel truly welcome. Without a doubt, we will be returning. This hotel is a gem in the heart of London.

1-Star Review ⭐️ (If I could give zero stars, I would!) This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially the Egyptian and Indian employees. Their attitude was arrogant and disrespectful, as if they were doing us a favor instead of us being paying guests. There was no welcome, no manners, no basic hospitality whatsoever. The room was completely different from what we booked online – it was smaller, older, and smelled bad. The furniture was worn out, the air conditioner was loud and barely working, and the bathroom was disgusting with a sewage smell and poor water pressure. Nothing matched the photos or the description. We asked to change rooms, and they told us, “Tomorrow we’ll change it.” But they kept delaying and wasting our time. We ended up waiting for hours with no solution, and our time was completely wasted just sitting around waiting. No urgency, no care, no apology. Service? Non-existent. You call the front desk, nobody answers. You go down to complain, and they either ignore you or respond with a careless attitude. Noise isolation is terrible – you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. The towels were dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, and even the room key didn’t work properly. To sum it up: this hotel is a disaster on every level – rude service, terrible rooms, zero cleanliness, and no respect for guests. Whether you’re traveling alone or with family, don’t waste your money or your time here. I regret ever booking this place. It’s far worse than I ever imagined.
