Had an overnight stay here and was pleasantly surprised. After reading some of the reviews we were a little worried! Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly reception staff who checked us in. Our room was exactly like the pictures, clean and tidy with no bad smells as described by people in the comments. Bed was comfy and the room had everything we needed. Included in our price was a cream tea which the staff member bought to us out on the terrace so we could enjoy some sunshine…the scone was lovely, fresh baked and still warm. We used the spa facilities which included a sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool again all clean and easy accessible, not to busy when we were there either. Our evening meal was delicious the staff in the restaurant were very personable and we enjoyed all 3 courses! After a good nights sleep we had a breakfast with plenty to choose from ranging from cooked to continental options. We enjoyed a cup of coffee sat on the terrace surrounded by peaceful countryside. All in all a really good stay for us and we can’t see why people have given such negative reviews The staff are a credit to this hotel and made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. We are already looking to return for another stay but longer this time!!
Been here since since Wednesday as a member of the Transplant Games .Staying 4 nights. What a fantastic hotel. Awesome. Fantastic rooms and amazing staff. A big shout out to Aaron, polite, friendly and engaging. A really top young man.10 out of 10. You are a credit to Milton Hill House Aaron .They are very lucky to have you as a member of staff.
Gorgeous looking stately home hotel with extensive grounds. The main entrance and reception is all wood panelling with an impressive staircase. Unfortunately my room was not in the main building but a "Garden Room" which was a grey concrete block out the back. Though the building looked dreadful the inside and the rooms themselves were very nice. They have a small pool with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi which I used. All very nice and modern and everything worked well. The gym however is not worth going to. Only a couple of running machines, pull up rack and one dumbbell. The evening meal was good, though they also had a prom on that night so service was slow. The morning breakfast was worthy of a visit with a good mix of pastries, yogurts, cereals as well as cooked breakfast items. Overall nice venue. Good location for Milton Park and not too far away from central Oxford.
