Mimaru Kyoto Station

We stayed at Mimaru for the first time in July. The location is good as it is very close to Kyoto station (5 minutes walk). You can easily hop on a train, grab a taxi, or take a bus. The room was large enough for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen area was useful. The laundry room had enough washers and dryers that we never had to wait. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with anything that we needed. They will also help to forward your luggage which I found extremely helpful. There is a QR code in the room for an electronic form. You can fill this out and the front desk will help with filling out the forms. There is a 7 Eleven around the corner so it's convenient to get snacks or whatever you need before heading out.

We had an amazing stay at Mimaru Kyoto Station! From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful and welcoming. The room was spacious, spotless, and absolutely perfect for our family of four—plenty of space to unwind after long days of exploring Kyoto. The hotel’s location couldn't be more convenient—just around the corner from a 7-Eleven (ideal for snacks and essentials) and steps away from the Metro station, making it super easy to get around the city. The entire experience was seamless, comfortable, and made our trip even more special. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto with family!

Family apartment was clean and compact. During our 1-week stay, they replaced towels and emptied the garbage every day, and changed the bed linens every other day. When I had lost a bracelet at a nearby aquarium, the concierge took careful notes of where/when we had been, and called the venue on our behalf as we did not speak Japanese, and we were able to locate and retrieve it before closing! Always friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend a family apartment to any visitors with a group of 4. It is close living quarters though, and only 3 washing machines/dryers for the whole building; iron/ironing board (or other amenities like a hair curling iron) can be borrowed on the day of use. Located within 5 min walking to Kyoto station as well as the local 7-Eleven for convenience needs.
