We had high expectations of this hotel given the pictures and reviews however, we were disappointed in our overall experience due to, lack of knowledge about local wineries to visit, didn't mention that dinner is a buffet (which was really disappointing), e-bikes were really uncomfortable to ride, had to pay for coffee at breakfast and our room was not serviced properly during the whole time of the stay e.g. plates left in room, bed not made etc.
I do not recommend this hotel. Before arriving, I asked if everything was working (indoor and outdoor spa), and they replied that everything was functioning. However, once we got there, it turned out that the spa was out of order and closed for renovation. When I showed them the message, they simply said they didn't know who wrote it. The air conditioning was also not working. It's centrally controlled for the entire hotel and cannot be adjusted individually. According to a hotel staff member, the minimum temperature was 23°C, but it felt even warmer. They just told us to open the window. If your room faces the parking area (as ours did), be prepared for cars driving around until midnight and trucks arriving and honking as early as 6 AM, making it impossible to sleep. You can't sleep with the windows closed because it's too hot, and you can't sleep with them open because it's too noisy. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely nothing around. Access is terrible, starting from Slovakia — the roads are full of potholes. The food is good, the hotel is beautiful, but the cocktails are extremely overpriced and not worth it (they're mixed directly in the glass, which often isn’t even cleaned properly). Our entire vacation was ruined, and we didn’t even receive an apology.
We had a very disappointing stay and feel completely misled. Before booking, we specifically contacted the hotel to confirm that the SPA was included in the booking. Management assured us it was. However, when we arrived, the entire SPA zone was closed for renovation—with no notice and no indication of when it would reopen. Despite this, we were still charged the full price of €250 per night, with no compensation or even a proper apology. To make things worse, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work properly. The temperature was unbearable, and we ended up going down to reception around midnight to ask for help. The staff apologized and said the AC system was due for maintenance, which didn’t help us at all. Because the room was so hot, we had no choice but to leave the balcony door open. Unfortunately, it didn’t cool anything down since it was still hot outside. On top of that, the noise was constant—vehicles going in and out during the night, and loud food delivery trucks starting around 6 AM made it impossible to sleep. Overall, this place felt like a scam. €250 per night for a hotel with no working SPA, no functional air conditioning, and zero regard for guest comfort? Never again.
