Miramar by Windsor Copacabana

Stayed for 3 nights with a friend during a week in Rio, this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The rooms are cleaned daily and the rooftop pool and bar being attached to the sauna is great, the breakfast was the best I had in Brazil. I also left my beats headphones in the room and came back 2 days later to find that they had been handed in and kept safe. The staff really went the extra mile, Thank you to Caleb for being a great host to us also

Perfect stay. Staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a lovely stay. The buffet breakfast had just about everything. Rooms are spacious, and the location can’t be beat! Has a staff on the beach to set up chairs/umbrellas.

As much as I’d like to follow the crowd and give this hotel 5 stars, I can’t. The oceanfront location, breakfast, rooftop, sauna, and gym are all outstanding. The front desk service, while not remarkable, was polite and professional. That said, two major issues kept this from being a 5-star stay. First, I’ve stayed in cleaner, more comfortable, and more accommodating hotels, one of which I visited during this trip where my friend was staying. Second, and most concerning, I left with several bug bites on my lower legs (draw your own conclusions). On top of that, housekeeping was inconsistent, some days our room wasn’t cleaned until late, and on others they forgot essentials like towels or even a blanket. For travelers seeking a true 5-star experience, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
