Miramar Hotel Resort and Spa

After the ceiling almost caved twice in and the water damage entering the light fixtures causing a serious safety hazard and possible electrocution, it is safe to say we will never ever stay here nor will we ever recommend to any of our friends and family. They also over charged exorbitant amounts for electricity, internet that is five times the price of what we pay here in Australia. Adding pictures this time as it appears my previous review was removed. The compensation offered was disgraceful, given we were leaving so an additional four free days was absolutely useless to us. Stay elsewhere, as I don’t see this place ever improving.

Unfortunately this place turned us down to use their pool and beachfront because of my wifes hijab/burkini. They had the audacity to quote us $440 for a room but no able to use any of their facilities. Unfortunately this will not stop just at a bad review. This is completely discrimination and I will be filing a formal complaint with the department of tourism. No resort in any other country in the world has ever discriminated against us because of our religion.

I saw this resort on social media and really liked it, so I decided to visit. After a long drive and high expectations, I was surprised and disappointed to be told that men are not allowed to enter alone. I was by myself, and honestly, I found this treatment very unprofessional and disrespectful. It’s a shame for a resort like this to treat visitors in such a way. I hope they reconsider their policies and approach.
