Miramar Hotel & Spa

A wonderful experience staying at the Miramar Hotel. The staff at the reception, Ms. Maria & Mr. Pedro  in the restaurant, Mrs. Rosalia, and at breakfast, Mrs. Helia  - the smiling, professional approach, the patience, the high awareness of service - all of these make the difference between very good and excellent! The hotel is well-kept and very clean. The spa facilities - clean and well-maintained. The room is fully equipped. The bed is comfortable and very clean! The view from the balcony adds to the wonderful experience, as does dinner in the beautiful restaurant overlooking the city and the sea. And to you, the owners of the hotel - congratulations on your service charter and attention to the smallest details. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a worthy experience. Highly recommend!

I was at this hotel for 5 days as I make my way across the West Coast of Portugal. The room was nice but not exceptional. The location and view from my room was great. It looked over the town below as this hotel is at the top of a large hill. My only real problem was with the Service. When I first arrived they informed me that there were no Spa Services, which was surprising to me since the hotel is called The Miramar Hotel and Spa. The other big negative was I have had my laundry done from the hotels that I stay at and this was my 4th. I had 3 pairs of sweatpants and 4 t-shirts laundered and they had the nerve to charge me 100€. I could have thrown those clothes away and purchased new ones for less money. Outrageous! If you plan on staying here, I suggest that you have your laundry done in town or wait until you get home.

Rooms are spacious but not very clean, the indoor pool is nice. The hotel is already showing its age, and there is no parking lot.
