Miramare Suites

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful stay. We were in 702, first floor looking out into the beach. This section is about 150 feet away from the main hotel, which is beautiful as well. Our room had everything we needed and was very nice, comfortable and large bed, nice bathroom and shower as well as other amenities. We used the main hotel for breakfast and to enjoy the beach (as well as the larger beach). Only a short 20 minute train ride to Monterosso and significantly less crowded. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay in Sestri Levante!

The room and the sea view were amazing - we really appreciate that the staff gave us this room. It’s spacious, comfortable and has a big double bed. What really spoiled our stay was the mattress - it is simply terrible and feels like a piece of wood and both of our back hurt after sleeping on it. It’s unfortunate as the rest was really great, but this cheap uncomfortable mattress did not suit to the place at all. We stayed only for one night, but would definitely change the hotel if we were to stay longer, as good night sleep after all is more important than the sea view and spacious room. I think the team should consider changing the mattress to make the experience truly flawless!

Good: Clean, updated, easy (though slightly inconvenient) check-in at the main hotel down the block. Good size room that fits two people, luggage, and then some. Not so good: -I was hoping the reviews of the mattresses being uncomfortable were overblown but it is true. The bed in 702 is terribly uncomfortable. I let them know after the first night and I think they put another topper but I can tell it is still extremely uncomfortable. - Sound from the street below is quite audible. If there are people hanging out late, playing music, etc., you can hear it. There happens to be a tent and DJ setup down the block, making this not peaceful at all. While the hotel can do nothing about the music being played, they could have have better windows. - Location: It's my first time to the area so I didn't really understand the layout but this room is overlooking some scrappy looking stuff across the street. Looks like the less tended to backside of the town. Facing Baia del Silenzio would be better. Overall, I'm disappointed with the value for the cost. at $340+ per night, I'd expect a comfortable bed and quiet environment given how the property is presented. I also see that the rooms are going for half the price tonight of what I paid originally. If the bed and sound won't bother you, this is fine for a nice sized hotel room. Easy fix folks, get a new mattress in here!
