Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Gion

The hotel's service and comfort were amazing. By far, it was the friendliest service I've experienced in Japan. The rooms were really comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was super delicious. The only odd thing is that sometimes it's crowded with legions of Korean and Chinese tourists, and it can be overwhelming. But despite that external factor, the hotel was amazing. I rested, I had a great time, and the people in this place are really well-trained and nice, from the cleaners to the front desk, cooks, etc. I highly, mega-recommend it.

We always stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Gion when in Hakata and usually enjoy the restaurant (Uoden) and café next door (breadnespresso) . This time, we tried the new restaurant inside the hotel on July 30 before heading back to Bali, as recommended by the hotel reception. The karaage was served quickly, but the shabu-shabu and sukiyaki took almost two hours with some incomplete ingredients like the egg for sukiyaki is not available till then also the udon for shabu shabu, and the ramen only came after we followed up after not coming within an hour. Perhaps as it is still very new, the service needs more time to be well coordinated. We hope it improves, as the menu and concept are promising.

The air conditioning is not working well. It may automatically stop breezing at some point. You will have to manually adjust the temperature many times to keep it working. The laundry is very terrible. Firstly the machine took at least 500 yen for the clean and dry. Secondly the dry is useless because the clothes were not dry at all. Thirdly after feedback to the front desk, they said they cannot prove if we have spent 500 yen so there is no way to get the refund.That’s really ridiculous and ugly to say so because that’s a automatic washing machine!!! Anyway the hotel is not as good as the rate shows.🙁🙁🙁
