Mode Hotel Lytham

The Mode stand's out, because it's a little bit different. It won't be for everyone and that's ok. The Mode is not looking to attract the Travel lodge crowd, they're not your typical hotel and they are not trying to be. Check in for me, required a phone call, and a few minutes later I was in my room. The room was was well appointed, with a large modern TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a Nespresso machine. It had the largest bed I've ever slept in. The bathroom was well appointed with a shower large enough for a family. The downside however was it didn't have air-conditioning and the temperature in the room was unbearable. The temperature outside was 25°C (unusual for the UK) and the temperature in room I measured at 29°C While I could open the windows that didn't help the situation and my room was soon filled with the cooking smells from the various ventilation systems at the back of the building. The hotel had provided a fan, but that just moved the warm air around the room. The noise from the ventilation and the cooking and cleaning of the restaurants below continued until 1am. Probably not an issue if the windows are closed. That said, I would stay again. The location is perfect. The decor is quirky and fun, the staff polite and efficient and the well appointed room made for a good experience.

Stayed here on many occasions. Fantastic location right in the middle of Clifton square. Rooms clean and everything that you need. However getting to a point where they may need a little face lift. Will still keep using just a little observation on my last stay.

My partner Brian and I have stayed in Mode Lytham several times. We have always had a great stay. Last week we stayed in room 101 which was not a patch on the other rooms we have stayed in because we couldn’t see out of the windows!!! We were unable to tell what the weather was doing. On two occasions we went out of the building to find it was drizzling and had to go back to fetch our macs. The room was very very hot even with the convenience of the room fan on full blast. These two inconveniences marred our stay. Every other room we have stayed in has been lovely.
