Modern Hotel Georgetown

Though hotel had no lift, request for luggage to be carried up to room by staff is possible. Iron also can be requested from front desk. Staffs were all kind and polite. Room took quite awhile to cool down but once feedbacked to front desk, they took prompt action to resolve issue. Room was big and TV had Youtube/Netflix and a working fridge. There was a balcony as well but we didn’t utilise it. Though flooring at certain places could need some work. Overall, relatively nice experience at this hotel..

No elevator, no refrigerator. There is a jacuzzi on 2nd floor at balcony. Reasonable price for solo travelers. AirCon is ok to fight outside temperature. Room decoration is nice. Facility all good. Convenience store opposite the hotel. Walking distance to almost every places in Georgetown.

Check-in was straightforward, but the printer was out of toner, and I was asked to take a photo of my passport for their database, which I declined due to privacy concerns. Do note that there's a heritage fee of RM2 per night upon checked in as the hotel is one of the UNESCO Heritage Site. The room was dirty and dusty, with stained bedsheets. We requested for hand soap, but the receptionist informed me they do not provide at all. On the second night, we reported a leaking sink to the receptionist around 10 pm. Unfortunately, her attitude was unhelpful, and she didn't apologize or offer a solution. Her response was dismissive, asking "what's stopping you from using the sink?" despite our explaining the issue. No offer was made to change rooms or provide an estimated wait time, even with many empty rooms available. On our final night, after housekeeping, we requested for a hand towel and told they were out of stock. This was surprising, given the number of empty rooms. While the hotel's location is convenient, being close to tourist attractions, I would advise potential guests to think twice about the amenities and service attitude before booking.
