After 10+ years of twice annual travel to The City, we finally found our regular, go-to, never-disappoints hotel! Modernhaus is BEAUTIFUL with a cool art vibe, good coffee house on-site (but a better one right across the street!), great gym, awesome pool and rooftop bar scene. The rooms are the best we’ve had in NYC - clean, modern, maximizing daylight, just awesome. The shower is crazy-good! But what really puts this place over the top is the front desk (and all of the) staff. It is rare to find consistently friendly desk staff at NYC hotels but the reception team at ModernHaus nailed it every single time we came and went. Quick to hand out umbrellas when you need them, champagne when you’re thirsty, and directions to dinner, we felt right at home. Will be back!!

I stayed here two years ago—it was beautiful then, and I was looking forward to my stay. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like the property is being maintained and cared for with integrity. The service was not especially warm or welcoming. We arrived on a hot day and went up to the rooftop pool area, which was not well kept. There were cleaning supplies strewn around and the showers to use before entering and exiting were blocked off. The pool attendant seemed annoyed when we asked for towels and barely acknowledged us. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location was great. We did not have breakfast at the hotel—the chairs looked thread-bare and dirty. Sadly, I would try a different spot before coming back here. Mediocre, disappointing experience and cleanliness in public areas is questionable.

I stayed here for three nights. For my first trip to New York City The location was perfect if you plan on walking around Soho And using the train. The hotel is nice and the service was good. My only complaint Is that the room that I stayed in Had food left in the fridge. They were helpful and removed it right away. But then I went to use the fridge and it did not work. Their amenities are lackluster The roof top pool Is incredibly small with weird hours closed by 4pm It’s also not heated. In the 3 days I was there I didn’t see anyone inside the pool even though it had reached 90 degrees and was incredibly humid during my stay. The pool was ice cold and closed for construction one of the days we stayed. Advertised was heated bathroom floors I was in a king studio and the floors did not heat up at all. I’m not sure I would stay here again not based on service but mostly amenities and some discrepancies I feel I experienced.
