Moganshan Solvang Village Boutique Hotel

We had a fantastic time here in August 2020. The room we stayed in was clean, clear and bright. It's in a beautiful location, the hotel is surrounded by trees and hills. The hotel is close to everything you could want to do in the Moganshan area, whether you're driving or hiring a ride. The staff is very knowledgable about the area and available activities. The on-site restaurant is so good it makes it hard to justify traveling elsewhere for dinner. There is a mix of western and Chinese dishes, and the Chinese dishes are delicious. The hotel (and restaurant) is dog friendly. The kids loved waking up and going for a walk outside first thing in the morning, something that is not as fun in the city. They also enjoyed the sunsets and looking at the stars at night - also tough to do in the city.

We stayed at Solvang for a long weekend in April and it was spectacular. It’s simple yet nicely designed and considered, great beds and bathrooms etc. The location is also perfect, at the end of a quiet road which then leads directly into the best hiking trails in the region. The restaurant is also good - make sure you have the Roast Chicken, incredibly delicious. If you go, do the hike up to the Tea Plantation, approx 5 hours round trip through a bamboo forest, with barely any other hikers. Special.

It's a wonderful resort in Moganshan China. Friendly atmosphere, super clean room, English staff service.
