Moma1890 Boutique Hotel

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was CLEAN/Spotless which is my #1 priority. The decor was really nice and staff were so friendly and helpful. Every time the lady at the front desk saw my daughter she would give her her favorite chocolate (she remembered which one was her favorite). The lounge area was nice and great to chill or do work/study. The hotel was very quiet and located in a great area. We plan on going back to Munich and will definitely stay here again!

This was the PERFECT hotel! We stayed over my mum‘s birthday in July and of all the things we did in Munich the days we were there, what stood out to our mum the most was how lovely the hotel was and especially Kataryna at the reception desk! She went out of her way to recommend activities for us to do (even coming up to us after her shift had ended and we looked a bit confused as to where to go in the ubahn station just outside the hotel)! We were extremely grateful for the attentive care taken throughout our stay! We could not have had a better time, thank you!! Things that stood out extremely positively: - Happy Birthday note and present - Delicious breakfast with very smiley and friendly staff in the mornings - spacious, air conditioned rooms - free soft drinks, water and snacks (never had that before; really put a smile on our faces in the evenings - good public transport all around - cheaper travel tickets available at reception - nice places to grab a bite to eat in walking distance We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We had a lovely stay at Moma1890 Boutique Hotel during our recent visit to Munich. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Ostbahnhof station, with a direct S8 train connection to the airport in about 30 minutes. The neighbourhood itself is peaceful and residential, filled with local cafés and bakeries, and pleasantly free of tourist crowds. The hotel is beautifully designed, with tasteful interiors and a particularly beautiful round staircase that adds a touch of elegance. We stayed in two rooms: a single on the 4th floor and a larger double room on the 5th. The single room was perfect—bright, well-sized, and with large windows overlooking Orleansplatz. The double, on the attic floor, was spacious, but due to the small high-up windows, I could only see the sky—which felt a bit closed-in for my slightly claustrophobic nature. While I usually request quiet courtyard-facing rooms, none were available during our stay. Even on the 5th floor, the street noise at night was quite noticeable. Fortunately, we solved this easily by picking up earplugs at the drugstore right next door to the hotel, which made a big difference for a restful sleep. The bathroom was excellent—modern, clean, and well-equipped with a walk-in shower, plenty of hot water, and quality toiletry products. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, with a generous and tasty selection. That said, we also enjoyed exploring nearby bakeries, especially Sorry Johnny Café, with its delicious avocado sandwich and breakfast burger. A special thanks to Katerina at the front desk, who was exceptionally kind and helpful. When I mentioned our plan to visit the Alte Pinakothek, she let us know that admission is only €1 on Sundays—a thoughtful tip, that we used and truly appreciated. Overall, Moma1890 Boutique Hotel is a stylish, well-located place to stay, with warm service and a local feel. We would be happy to return—next time, perhaps with a quieter room from the start!
