We came here already once and were sooo stunned by the peace, tranquility, the amazing staff and food (the vegetables are all fresh handpicked from the monasteries garden!), the comfortable beds and beauty of this building that we decided to host our wedding there just 3 months later! This was the best decision of our life! 🥹💝🤩 Not only is this hotel an amazing place to calm down and recharge but also to have a family party here! We had around 60 guests and they all loved their rooms, the service and lovely staff! Our wedding was hosted with such precision and love in every detail! Carmen the hotel manager was so supportive in the planning process and all staff were just simply amazing! Also to have all our guests sleep in one place for a whole weekend and for everybody to just be able to rest in their rooms whenever they felt like it was so comfortable! Every room in this monastery is designed a little different and for everybody it was so special to have their own little gem to sleep in! It was the most special experience that we all won’t never forget! 😍

I recently spent time at the Monasterio de San Francisco in Palma del Río and it was an incredibly peaceful experience. The property, a beautifully preserved 15th-century monastery, is full of history and calm, with quiet cloisters, lush gardens, and a soothing ambiance, the perfect setting for relaxation. Despite being nestled in such a tranquil oasis, the Wi‑Fi was impressively reliable throughout the cloisters, rooms, and gardens. The staff was warm and attentive, always ready to help, which made our stay feel extra special. The pool was beautiful, surrounded by greenery and perfect for a refreshing swim or quiet afternoon in the sun. We also enjoyed a wonderful meal at Hortus, the on-site restaurant, which offers local recipes made with fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruit from nearby orchards. A true taste of the region that added to the authenticity and charm of the experience. If you’re looking for a place that blends history, peace, modern comfort, and excellent service, this monastery-hotel is a true gem. Highly recommended.

My family and I had the most wonderful time at Hotel Monasterio de San Francisco. The weather was beautiful, allowing us to eat outside every evening and enjoy the pool during the day. My son is asking to go back. The hotel is so relaxing. The sound of the birds and the bells were incredible. We did have a few issues with the service. There was confusion about what meals we were allowed on our dinner bed and breakfast tariff. I think if we had of know it was only two choices a night, we wouldn't have opted for this. The children's meals were basic and sadly not really eaten. Breakfast was good, although as we were first down (thanks to the children) we found the tour parties, with an earlier time slot, had used everything and nothing was re layed till well after the standard breakfast time slot. One morning we sat and waited at a used table and weren't offered any clean cutlery or napkins. The honesty bar was a lovely option, however the hotel was very busy with parties. One day during our stay the paper you write what you have taken wasn't layed out, the drinks were hot because the ice hadn't been replaced and the wedding party were helping themselves. I can't fault the room it was fantastic. Most of the staff were lovely and we're always happy to help or help make my toddler smile.
