MONDI Hotel am Grundlsee

Great location, amazing staff. Very expensive across the board, except cigarettes from the vending machines, €7 here, €16 in the UK. And while I'm not a smoker, I couldn't ignore the comparison. Spa, sauna and swimming pool were great, some review of nudity policies need to be revisited or even enforced.

Phenomenal experience! We got married here this past July and Hotel Modni was the perfect venue to host our family for this special event. The hotel rooms, view of the lake, food, and service was all amazing, and we can't wait to return for future visits and vacations.

Absolutely not worth the money – total disappointment! This hotel is nothing like what they advertise online. Everything is outdated, neglected, and dirty. The rooms are old and worn out – dusty corners, dirty surfaces, and furniture that’s clearly seen better days. It feels like nothing has been renovated or properly cleaned in years. The pool and spa area are even worse – like stepping back into a grimy sports facility from the 90s. There’s a strong smell of mold and humidity, visible mildew on the tiles, and an overall feeling of uncleanliness. It was honestly disgusting and felt unhygienic. This place is outrageously overpriced for what you get. A standard room here should cost no more than €120–140 per night, and even that would be generous considering the state of the facilities. This hotel is a complete scam – the photos online are totally misleading. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and will definitely never return.
