Great location, clean and spacious room. Easy check in. I communicated with the staff and was able to check in early after a morning flight from the US.

What an amazing location! Just steps from the Royal Mile and other key spots in Edinburgh. Because the location is so great, it can be loud outside at night - we moved the fan into the bedroom by the window and that managed the noise really well for us, but they were kind enough to provide ear plugs as well. We really appreciated having the kitchen area to be able to prepare breakfast and store food/drink in the fridge. The check-in process was incredibly smooth - instructions were clear and timely and I appreciated how everything was sent both via email and text. The only issue we had was with the cleanliness. Everything seemed to have a layer of dust on it including oven vent, bathroom vent, shower head and more which was odd. Kitchen table area was greasy. All the bedding/towels/etc were very clean, it just seemed like surfaces/walls could use a little extra care. Nonetheless we would definitely stay here again when we come back to Edinburgh!

We stayed at Monosuites Edinburgh for four nights and were extremely pleased with its central location. It is within walking distance of most top tourist attractions. However, it is worth noting that the accommodation is on a very busy road, with heavy traffic both day and night. Earplugs are provided upon arrival, which is a thoughtful touch. We were really disappointed to find out on the morning of our arrival that Monosuites was unable to provide us with the ‘special assistance’ we had requested, even though it was stated in our booking (we booked via LastMinute.com, so this could be an issue on their end). Additionally, our booking clearly indicated that we had a baby with us, yet we were placed on the top floor of the building—64 steps up! Carrying a pram that far was quite a challenge. The apartments do have a locker service on the entry level, which costs £8 per night (£32 for our four-night stay). After one trip up the stairs with the pushchair, we quickly realised we wouldn’t be able to manage it again, so we opted to use the locker. However, the process to book and access the lockers was unnecessarily complicated. The apartment itself was welcoming, clean, and spacious. It’s worth noting that the room is located above a restaurant and can get quite warm—even in March, we found ourselves opening windows and using fans. The thermostat showed a high of 26°C, giving an idea of the warmth. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which provided plenty of space for the four of us. The kitchen was adequately equipped with basic utensils for cooking and cleaning. It included a dual hob, microwave, and fridge but had no oven, which was a little inconvenient. We were also disappointed that there was no toaster. The bathroom initially appeared clean, but we soon discovered that the shower gel pump wasn’t working. Upon removing the bottle from the stand, we noticed it was full of mold—not ideal! One final issue to mention: the living room door was propped open with a doorstop, and underneath it, we found a large screw screwed into the flooring. This could have easily been stepped on or crawled over by our baby, potentially causing serious injury. This is a health and safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately.
