Very nice and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights with our 4 kids and everyone enjoyed. The plants and landscaping is wonderful and there are monkeys, frogs, sloths, and more all over the grounds. The restaurant is adequate but not great. The thermal springs are small but nice for killing time. Overall good experience and comfortable place to serve as a base for Arenal area activities
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Montana De Fuego, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by an incredibly attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The grounds are beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery and views that are simply breathtaking. One of the highlights of our trip was the Night Walk with Gorge – an unforgettable experience we would recommend 100,000 billion times over! Gorge is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about wildlife, and made the entire walk an adventure. During our tour, we saw frogs, toucans, butterflies, snakes, and even went sloth hunting! His ability to spot creatures hidden in the dark and share fascinating facts made it feel like we were in a live-action nature documentary. The resort itself is serene and stunning, with a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. Whether you're relaxing by the pool, exploring the trails, or enjoying local cuisine, everything is done with care and quality. We can't wait to return and relive the magic. If you're considering a stay in the Arenal region, Montana De Fuego is an absolute must.
We stayed in a standard bungalow with an excellent view of the volcano from our covered porch. Sipping coffee on the porch was a great way to spend the afternoon while it was raining! The rooms may be slightly dated but it adds to the charming! The thermal pools were very relaxing and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The thermal pools are relaxing and fun!
