Superb location with fantastic view. The hotel is located on the north side of Madeira, which offers dramatic landscapes. It's remote, quiet, and in direct contact with nature. The hotel is perfect for families with kids, offering multiple activities, and a huge buffet with a variety of food. If you plan to explore Madeira and/or dine/drink outside, a car is absolutely necessary. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is a bit outdated but clean and benefits from a very friendly staff.

The location was amazing and quiet, the inside pool was really good with the jacuzzi, the rooms tho.. they were old and looked liked a 4 star hotel 30 years ago, there were cracks at the walls, no ventilation in the bathroom and it's quite Small, overall the feel of the room is that it's old and needs some renovation, the service was nice, the food was mostly good and perfectly cooked (there were some bad things) only thing I didn't like that we have to order drinks for dinner, even water wasn't free, everything costed something and it wasn't cheap. The location speaks for it self, it's mostly quiet, no small children and beautiful gardens.
