We love the hotel. They upgraded us to the top floor with beautiful seaview. The room and the bathroom are big and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and happy with great service. The facilities are excellent and top notch, we went to steam and sauna room with a swimming pool and enjoyed the facilities so much and wish we could have another day to enjoy. The breakfast and the restaurant were also excellent. In our next trip to Rovinj, we will definitely book the same room again for our family.
We enjoyed our 9 night stay very much. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful, especially the concierge (Tena/Irina), pool staff (Haris/Ante) and dining staff (Sandra/Fuso/Saša). The grounds are beautiful, the pools are very clean and the food offering between Monte Mulini and the sister properties is wonderful. The only thing that can use improvement is the room. It is a bit dated (decor/furniture) but the bathroom was nicely updated. We would recommend a stay and will be back.
Horrible guest treatment by some of the staff This hotel is beautiful, but there are serious issues with staff training and customer service that need immediate attention. The Problem: One of your beach staff members consistently treats guests in an unprofessional, rude, and entitled manner when they inquire about available sunbeds. Yesterday's Incident: When I politely asked about available spots in the late afternoon, she was dismissive and arrogant, claiming she had a "list" without explaining any reservation system (which I had never been informed about during my stay). When I asked about a clearly empty spot, she responded rudely. Hours later, when no one had arrived and the day was ending, I moved to that spot as my original location had become shaded. This Morning's Incident: Not wanting to deal with poor treatment on my final day, I took an empty spot as other staff members had allowed me to do throughout my stay. She immediately approached me aggressively, saying I was "making her job difficult" before I had even spoken. When I offered to move as soon as the actual guest arrived, she refused this reasonable solution, told me she "wouldn't leave," and called management. Management's Response: The manager completely dismissed my concerns without listening to my side of the story. He defended her behavior, claiming she's "well trained" and "treats guests very well," while she continued to interrupt me during our conversation. He essentially validated rude treatment toward guests and told me to "enjoy my day" after his staff had ruined it. The Core Issues: - Inconsistent communication about policies between staff members - Aggressive, unprofessional behavior toward polite guests - Management that protects problematic employees rather than addressing legitimate complaints - Complete failure to provide basic customer service While I acknowledge losing my patience after being mistreated twice, no guest should experience intimidating behavior or have their concerns dismissed. Professional communication could have prevented this entire situation. A hotel of this caliber should not tolerate staff who treat paying guests like criminals or managers who gaslight guests rather than resolve issues.
