I stayed at Montebay Perla Hotel in late April, in House B, which is located separately next to the main building. The reception staff were friendly, and the location is beautiful – right by the water with mountains in the back, and just a 10-minute drive to Kotor City. The apartment was spacious with a living room and bedroom, and included a safe and fridge. A kettle was available upon request at the reception. The bathroom could use some renovation. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was empty during my stay, though swimming in the sea was possible with easy access via the beach in front of the hotel. The gym was quite disappointing – both bikes were broken, no cardio training possible, and the overall condition was rather neglected. This was particularly frustrating, as the gym was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Wi-Fi was excellent (300 Mbit/s down, 100 Mbit/s up), and there was free parking. Breakfast was okay, but the selection was limited – no typical cold cuts or cheese, just some chicken breast, pastries, oats, cereals, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a few fruits like oranges, bananas, and apples. Overall, a decent stay, but there’s room for improvement – especially in the gym and breakfast area.

Disappointing stay due to the cleanliness, professionalism, and food quality. I would NOT recommend staying here. 1. When we arrived in our room, the towels were dirty and there were clumps of hair all over the room. 2. When we checked in, the receptionists said nothing about the necessity to keep the water heater on (an ambiguous switch outside the restroom). When we complained that there was no hot water, they laughed about it as if this was commonly known. The instruction IS located within the food menu in the room, but this was not self explanatory nor were we told about this key information upon check in. The receptionists were also fairly rude throughout the stay. 3. Breakfast quality was subpar and there was limited selection. Despite arriving within ten minutes of the breakfast room opening, the food was depleted. The coffee machines rarely worked, and the food was clearly not fresh. Again, very disappointing stay and would not recommend staying at MonteBay Perla.

Poolside was shockingly bad. Only 8 poor quality sunloungers with the gaps being filled with wet bean bags and wet cushions on the floor. Rubbish strewn everywhere and old sunloungers shoved into a corner. Breakfast was poor. Low choice of items and with only a 2-hour slot for breakfast there were queues for everything and the (very few) staff could not keep up. We moved hotels. We couldn't get out quickly enough.
