A few years ago in June, I stayed for a week for a training meeting. It is a peaceful place in nature. Ideal for those looking for peace, quiet and tranquility. The SPA, hot pool, massage, cycling and horseback riding were great experiences for me. The staff were always smiling and helpful. Tasting the most natural and delicious food of Tuscany was also a bonus.
I honestly have to give this place a 5 star review the staff and service was AMAZING! I couldn’t thank them enough for how accommodating they were during my stay. Of course the location is in the country which is a bit of a bumpy ride to get there but it is relaxing serene and over all a beautiful place! Thank you so much to every staff at this resort who made my stay amazing!
So this was a mixed bag stay. First day and night was pretty awful- there was a private pool party with music blaring out. AC didn’t work (and you need it) and workmen were fixing/ installing/ drilling new ac in rooms above and besides us. We were moved the following day but not until about 2 pm- and it meant we had to pack and unpack again. Next room was same layout but had private terrace and could get 5g service. For a 4 star hotel lack of WiFi in rooms is poor. Some deduction for our first 2 day experience would have been welcome but not offered. Breakfast was ok but only if you arrive early, otherwise it runs out. But from UK perspective more 2/3 star offering than 4 star. The rooms / apartments/ suites were lovely and spacious, clean, in good repair (other than a/c) and bed comfortable. Spa was also a mixed bag- jets in pool not working. Restaurant is highly rated but we ate once and didn’t like it (other than house wine) so ate in nearest village (there are at least 3 but check opening times). We picked this as we wanted somewhere to chill for the start of our holiday and have some activity. But ddn’t see any horses and without electric bikes, the terrain is too hilly. The walk around the estate takes max 50 mins. Overall the grounds are scruffy. Whilst not remote by any means the nature of the roads means travelling elsewhere takes longer than you think ( unless you drive like a local I guess). Not awful by any means but could be better and didn’t really live up to expectations sold on their website.
