Montecito Inn

Located in a safe and convenient location a highly recommended spot for those looking to visit Montecito area of Santa Barbara. The staff were all warm and welcoming and you are walking distance to Good eating and drinking and walking distance from the ocean. My rating for the rooms is related to my queen sized room not having ample work station space. Otherwise, the room was clean, cozy, safe and quiet. Coffee, tea and juice along with breakfast pastries are provided just off the main lobby in the morning. The bar is a great space for a quiet drink alone or with friends. Added bonus isb5he ability to have your electric car charged onsite.

Look elsewhere for a good deal on a 4 star experience. Valet, front desk service, lobby were all 4 star with good service impressive decor and attached high end restaurant. However once you make it to the room you clearly see this is a 3 star inn. Interior decor is dated, old tv doesn’t work, outlets are inconveniently located, bathroom is minuscule. The room and bathroom pictures you see must be for higher end rooms or suites. Should be advertised as a 3 star inn on par with similar offerings until rooms are upgraded.

The rooms are very tired and dark. Not what you want in Santa Barbara. They are black and grey and silver. The furniture is in desperate need of replacing. Most of the furnishings show serious signs of wear. So much so they look dirty. The lobby is misleading as it bright and clean. The rooms, hallways, carpeting and paint all need a serious refurbishing.
