Montrose Inn

We went for afternoon tea and they exceeded our expectations. The service was warm and hospitable, the gardens were beautiful and the tea was delicious. The veranda is beautifully shaded and stayed cool (we went during a 32 degree day). The hosts kindly offered for us to look around the house and the gardens after our tea. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Plan to go for Tea at least once a month!! The menu changes and it's always awesome! The front porch is such a beautiful place for tea too in the lovely weather. I've been for tea with a group of us and just with one friend, no matter how many of us are there, we always, always love the food, the space and the hosts are amazing! Absolutely worth it!!! Oh, and with notice, they've always accommodated my allergies and friends' food restrictions, still allowing for the elegant presentation and scrumptious taste! And I've seen them accommodate a wheelchair-bound guest for tea outside (in the good summer weather). The hosts are always going the extra mile to make each guests' experience is wonderful and indeed special. Update: June 2024 - I've been going to Montrose Inn for high tea since 2020, mourned not going while it was closed during the pandemic protocols, celebrated its reopening, and scheduled tea with my colleague roughly every month or so, and also planned friend/colleague private gatherings a few times. Now the offerings are slightly different, changing with the times, and there is now Cream Tea offered weekly and High Tea offered monthly. Now my colleague and I have booked ahead to make sure we can get in for High Tea! In the summer we have tea on the wide, beautiful front porch/veranda, and in the cooler weather we enjoy the beautiful interior! There is now also a lovely Vintage Shop in the old garage! Montrose is definitely a place worth visiting, worth having tea at, and, from what I hear, with staying over at!!

We had afternoon tea today at the gorgeous Montrose Inn and we were welcomed extremely warmly!! The tea itself was fabulous..compliments to the chef as this exceeded our expectations. The Inn keeper and hostest were absolutely wonderful and gave us a personal tour with bits of history. All was decorated for Christmas 🎄 beautiful. Will definitely be returning to see all of the seasons.
