Valerie's thoughtful attention to detail extends to every corner of her establishment. From the tastefully decorated rooms, each named after South African animals, to the tranquil swimming pool and the fragrant lemon tree gracing the courtyard, Mooibaai exudes an unmistakable aura of relaxation and comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was waking up to Valerie's fabulous breakfast spread, a culinary journey that tantalized our taste buds and fueled our planned adventures in the bustling surroundings. conveniently located just a stone's throw away from Mooibaai. (Cape Town, Winelands...) But what truly sets Mooibaai apart is its embodiment of a spirit of Zen, a sanctuary where one can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and find solace in the gentle rhythm of nature. For me personally, the presence of ear sticks in the bathroom, a small yet thoughtful touch, further reflects Valerie's commitment to ensuring her guests' comfort and well-being. In conclusion, our experience at Mooibaai was nothing short of magical. Amazing place for a (long or short) stay in Houtbay! Valerie is an amazing host and so welcoming! We loved the outside breakfast under the lemon trees, the comfortable and spacious rooms and great and relaxing view. Best place we’ve stayed in around Cape Town!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mooibaai! The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The views from the swimming pool area are stunning and the breakfast is excellent (The freshly baked bread is the best I’ve ever had in a hotel so far). Valérie is a great host, very approachable and gives very good tips to explore Capetown & surroundings.
