Moon Dreams was a dream for sure! We had issues getting our car safely into the garage. I almost hit a wall in the garage, but our smart car stopped one inch from the wall and would not start again. Pablo from the front desk was our hero! After a few attempts to start the car and get it into gear, he succeeded. Finally we could get to our lovely room and then out to the beach. Breakfast was perfect as was the location. Be advised, they do not have air conditioning, but a fan helps and we were very comfortable.

Wonderful month spent here with husband and small dog. The rooms are extremely spacious and huge king size bed. Pool and sun loungers on 6th floor were a fab addition to the hotel and food and drink at pool park was amazing value for money. What made this hotel outstanding was the staff. The attention to their visitors and the friendly smiles and greeting daily from all staff was an exemplary on 5 ⭐️ customer service. A special thank you to Beatrice (front of house) who was so helpful and attentive to all our needs and to Nadia and Celeste in the pool bar who made us delicious lunches and cocktails. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning soon. Thank you all😊

My friend and I recently stayed, at Moon Dreams Calabahía Hotel for two nights. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn’t great — the exterior windows were quite dirty and didn’t match the pristine images shown in the advert. Check-in was smooth we were 2 hrs early although the room was ready, we had to go and come back. The reception staff were pleasant. I asked about a room upgrade and was quoted €100 on top, for the 2 nights. This felt a bit unfair, given that a number of reviews mentioned free upgrades. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the wide-opening windows lacked safety cables — a definite concern. The bathroom looked nice but for the shower area. The shower floor, had old unappealing wooden floor slats, and water flowed onto the stone floor. I slipped and slightly injured my back — very unsafe, especially for elderly or children. On the brighter side, the pool area was clean and well-maintained with plenty of sunbeds. The beach and shops are close by, which was convenient. We didn’t spot the gym during our stay. The highlight was the breakfast buffet — lots of variety and very friendly staff, which helped redeem the experience. Overall, there is room for improvement, but I wouldn’t rate this hotel as a true 4-star. It’s closer to a solid 3 to 3.5-star stay. Some improvements could really elevate the guest experience.
