Moonrise Hotel

I stayed at Moonrise Hotel for 8 nights during a work trip, and it turned out to be one of the most unique and memorable hotel experiences I have had. The entire place is full of personality, from the vibrant art to the vintage space memorabilia that gives the hotel its playful but elegant identity. Service was solid throughout my stay. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The valet parking service especially stood out they were always attentive, quick, and kind, even during the busiest times. My favorite part of the hotel was the glowing moon sculpture at the top. It made me pause every night. Something about it reminded me that if I ever wanted the moon, I could get it myself. That quiet symbolism added something special to an already great stay. The rooftop bar was also a highlight. The city views at night are beautiful, the cocktails were well made, and the atmosphere felt fun without being overwhelming. Perfect place to unwind after a long day of work. My room was clean, stylish, and comfortable, and the location in the Delmar Loop made it easy to step out and explore when I had time. Moonrise Hotel delivered both comfort and inspiration, and I would absolutely stay here again for work or for fun.

The rooms and decor were much better than the photos online. The hotel was much closer, next door, to our concert at The Pageant. The food was wonderful and the terrace was beautiful. My only complaint is the toilet, as it is reminiscent of the low, toddler sized toilets at my kids elementary school that were my nemesis at parent’s night. Finally, the hotel staff were our favorite part of the stay. They were so friendly, welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. They truly went out of their way to make our stay wonderful.

We stayed at the Moonrise Hotel for a weekend (Friday and Saturday) and had a fantastic experience! There was a bit of a mix-up on my end with the dates. We arrived a day earlier than our reservation but since I had booked directly, Clay, the general manager, went above and beyond to help us. He handled everything with such professionalism, care, and kindness. I also understand the hotel recently switched to a new management system, and I really appreciated how patient and helpful the team was despite the transition. They were able to accommodate us in a beautiful room, and the entire stay was smooth and enjoyable. One of the highlights was the rooftop bar. It’s absolutely worth visiting! I had a couple of espresso martinis, which were delicious, and the view was stunning. You can see the St. Louis skyline with the Gateway Arch in the background. Highly recommend this hotel, and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in St. Louis!
