Moracea by Khao Lak Resort

We stayed at Moracea by Khao Lak Resort and really enjoyed our time at this spacious and well-maintained property nestled in a beautiful natural environment. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with direct access to the pool — a lovely feature that made relaxing very easy. The bathroom was large and well-equipped, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower, adding a touch of luxury. The resort itself is quite large, so be prepared to do some walking to get around, and note that it is located in a hilly area, which might require some effort when moving between facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile and ready to assist. One important thing to keep in mind is that all extra activities come at an additional cost, so planning ahead is advisable. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, offering a wide range of both Western and Asian dishes to suit all tastes. Being surrounded by nature also meant we had some nightly visitors—a few small geckos occasionally came into our room, which added to the authentic tropical experience. Overall, Moracea by Khao Lak Resort is a lovely, comfortable place with excellent service and great amenities. It’s a perfect choice for those who appreciate a large resort set in nature and don’t mind a bit of walking. We would recommend it for a relaxing stay in Khao Lak.

A beautiful stay in paradise. Our room was clean and tidy, and even included beach tote bags and flip flop shoes to wear around the resort. Every single staff member we met was beyond lovely - from the concierge desk ladies and wait staff to the parking and security officers. Just outstanding customer service. Food and drinks were very pricey though, which is to be expected at this kind of resort. The swimming pools by the beach were such a delight, which is where we spent the majority of our time during our stay. Everything was clean and well maintained.

We booked 2 rooms for our family of 4 for 5 nights recently. I requested for a connecting rooms as we are travelling in a family and the hotel replied they will arrange side by side room for us (months back during my booking). When we were there, they did arrange a side by side room but 2 rooms were not connecting to each other at all and we will have to climb down and up the stairs to reach the other room. It's a little disappointed on this. The service as great though and all the staffs were very friendly. The breakfast spread certainly did not match the 5* resort as claimed. Very limited choices of foods, especially the hot dishes as compare to other resorts we have stayed. Again, another disappointment. This resort in my opinion, not suitable for young kids and elderly as many stairs to climb to go to different areas of the resort and it's quite hilly too. The room although not bad but many fixtures already dated and need repair soon. Location wise, near to Khao Lak center which has plenty of restaurants for foods and shops for grocery. Well, we may not stay there again for our future trips to Khao Lak.
