Location is perfect for tourists! Close to Earl Court Tube. The staff made this property well worth staying at. Nothing better than feeling welcome and acknowledged when you walk in. They offered suggestions on things, had a chat with us and really went out of their way to give great service. Breakfast selection is great, the ladies there are super, can get busy and wait for table seating. Some rooms are quite small but this is London and we adjusted to it, beds comfortable Great value and lovely hotel and excellent location
This hotel is located in a great neighbourhood with convenient access to many shops for necessities and more. Earl's Court subway station is less than a five-minute walk away. The building is clean and appears renovated. The staff are welcoming and polite, and the beds are comfortable. However, the room was very small. There were no closets or drawers to store personal items, and the bed frame extended to the floor, making the space underneath unusable. With three guests and the suitcases on the floor, it was difficult to move around the room.
Really rough. I have been trying to reach someone about these issues for weeks to have them addressed, however I am being ignored by the hotel. I am disappointed by the stay and even more disappointed by the lack of communication regarding these concerns. Unfortunately, our stay with Mornington was not pleasant. The room we were assigned to had a number of problems that were clear upon arrival. The room had an unpleasant odor, the bathroom had peeling along the ceiling and smelled of body odor, and the air conditioning was broken. We found black hair in the shower. The room was extremely hot. It took two trips downstairs over a number of hours explaining the air conditioning issue to the staff to eventually move rooms and for the staff to realize the AC in that room was in fact broken. Upon telling the staff, we had to move all of our baggage to the newly assigned room. While the new room didn’t have the same sickly odor or dilapidated nature, we ran into problems with staff. On one day, the room service cleaned the room while we were away, but didn’t replace our towels. They simply took them away and left our bathroom with no towels! When we called down and asked the front desk for towels, the lady said “we ran out of towels so we can’t provide them for you”. One of us was in the shower so you can see the issue on our hands. My wife had to walk downstairs and reiterate the need for towels, after still receiving pushback, a different worker brought her to a separate location with towels. Upon returning to our room with the towels that we found, we then came to find that the electricity wouldn’t turn on when we inserted our key into the wall slot. Maintenance needed to come and fix the electricity. We were in a rush, so we took showers in the darkness. Not the most ideal stay. But it is the lack of communication and completely ignoring our concerns that astounds me the most.
