Mosteiros Place

Mosteiros Place is the definition of luxury. We had our honeymoon here and will most definitely come back. What we'll never forget is the room, which was exceptional, I have never been to a room with a better view. Watching the sun go down from your couch is something you can not get bored of. It's also clean and spacious. Mosteiros place is also great to visit with kids. We went with a 1 year old and the chair and bed was already set up in our room. The staff is friendly and always open for a conversation. They helped us with tips & tricks around the island. Our overall experience was more than positive, I will recommend it to anyone visiting Sao Miguel.

My wife and I spent two weeks here for our honeymoon. We had the most amazing time here. Beautiful views, comfortable rooms, excellent food and drink. The staff were very friendly, hospitable, and personable. It's a great location. We highly recommend this hotel!

We had a 3 night reservation and left a day early to stay at another local hotel because this establishment just isn't comfortable or inviting. TV comes with just a few local channels and streaming didn't work. No housekeeping so we had to take care of on our own and go to reception when needed. Breakfast was served in our bungalow instead of the dining room which was unfortunate because we enjoy meeting other guests. The front entrance is terrible - you have to exit vehicle to open the gate which sucks in bad weather and is incredibly inconvenient. Outdoor pool is unheated so can't use year round. Bungalows have basic amenities and everything feels sterile and very Ikea like. We hate leaving bad reviews but there are so many great places to stay in Sao Miguel and unfortunately, this isn't one of them.
