The room was clean, the lady at the checkout was nice. Even the man at check in was very nice. He informed me that my room wasn't ready because they were short on staff. I waited maybe 5 minutes before my room was ready. My only issue was the noise outside. Other than that I enjoyed my stay

Beware before booking: The room had a strong, unpleasant smell—especially the blanket. You won’t notice it until bedtime. I had to sleep without a blanket on cold nights. Only a bar of soap is provided—no shampoo, toothpaste, drawers, or dresser. Make sure to carry $50 in cash for the deposit, or you’ll pay a $5 fee to withdraw it. The check-in area is very small and closed off. It might feel claustrophobic. A man (possibly homeless) knocked on my door with a key, claiming it was his room. He didn't return, but I got a call from the office later asking if he came back. I suspect he was a previous or regular resident, which could explain the bad smell. Wi-Fi is unstable. Positives: Convenient location with public transport nearby. McDonald's is right around the corner. The price was reasonable—$69 per night with a Google Maps promotion. The room and bathroom looked clean at first glance. Overall, the negatives outweighed the positives for me.

I had booked a reservation a few months ago at this Motel 6, hoping it would be a decent stop for me to keep my items and have a safe place to sleep, while attending a concert. I wish I had read the reviews deeper before booking. Upon arrival at the motel, I noticed the entrance was odd. It didn't help that the parking situation was off-putting, as the area was awfully tight and narrow. There wasn't enough space to fit my car in a parking spot without blocking the middle of the lot, which can easily cause accidents and potentially barricade other drivers. It was easy to spot the front desk. The bloke at the front desk was both rude and hard to understand, as he talked way too fast and didn't seem to care that I had reserved a reservation months ago. The reservation I had booked months ago was roughly $84, and I paid extra for a non-smoking room. My reservation was practically tossed aside; I showed him the proof and he completely ignored it, forcing me to just take what he wanted to give. He charged me $92, and a room that was full of the glamorous scent of smoke. The room itself was relatively clean; some of the sheets were slightly dirty, and the orientation of the bathroom was odd; the bathroom door didn't have a handle, and it wasn't able to properly close because the door itself was too big. The sink was on the outside of the bathroom, which I found to be inefficient. The only thing I really liked was the A/C unit. It was powerful, but loud. The lights were also luminescent, which had helped. What wasn't nice, however, was what I had seen while walking out of the restroom--- a cockroach. I had already killed two flies in the room, during the first few hours of arrival. Adding that cockroach, which was at least three to four inches in height, was insane. I was able to kill it within seconds, and it prompted me to get out of there immediately. The night shift bloke was much nicer, but never asked why I wanted to leave earlier; that's normally of common courtesy in situations like these. It also didn't help that there were shady activities going on around me throughout my stay, which was unsettling. I wouldn't recommend stopping by this particular Motel 6, unless it was life or death. The rooms were at least presentable, but not good enough to classify it as a good and safe deal; the service was choppy with a dash of irate; and the location was doable, but not great. It'd be better to find a motel with better and factual pricing, as well as a better surrounding area that doesn't give an eerie and sinking feeling that something bad will happen.
