After reading some of the reviews I thought this would be a bad choice to stay for 4 days. I went with my gut instinct and I'm glad I did. The rooms were very big, beds extremely comfortable, and the overall condition of the room was just shy of impressive. I inspected every inch of the beds and other areas with a UV light for signs of pest activity - I had a very bad experience with bed-bugs at another hotel. There was no activity here. There were a few spots in the bathroom that were not entirely sanitary, but housekeeping wouldn't be able to know that without UV lights. It was obvious they have a carefully followed routine and try very hard to clean and sanitize the rooms although there was an initial odor as you entered the room. House keeping was on top of exchanging the soiled towels and making the beds. I appreciated the attention, and my belongings was not disturbed. There were adequate plugs, a decent sized mini-fridge and the rooms were very quiet. I had a great nights sleep. The internet is adequate for what I needed it for (email, and browsing) although the television selection was less than what I'm used to.The breakfast was....umm....sparse. All in all, not a bad experience.

Under normal circumstances, our stay would have been acceptable. The hotel is affordable, and it's quite close to Six Flags. The beds are pretty comfy and the rooms are very large. However the bathroom was not super clean (lime scale on the shower head), and the soap dish was falling off the wall. We had three rooms, two on the second floor and one on the first, and 2/3 of our rooms were satisfactory. Specific to our stay: the bottom floor of the hotel (or maybe just one room?) had presumably flooded, so the carpets were soaked. The whole room smelled like mold, the paint was peeling off the walls, and everything was damp. This was not communicated before our stay, not were we given any other options when we asked. This is extremely unsanitary and unprofessional. I was very disappointed with this experience and the way that staff handled it. Mind you, I do not blame housekeeping for this issue. There is only so much you can do to fix a flooded carpet, especially if it was short notice. However, management should have contacted us early to communicate the situation.

The staff is very friendly, they are the two stars. I was grateful that the air conditioner was quiet and on when we checked in from our long hot Saturday in Jersey. My only recommendation to this hotel is get adequate housekeeping staff. There was a goldfish cracker in the chair and some seriously shady stains on the carpet. Those things should NOT be overlooked. Cleanliness is a huge factor for choosing a hotel for my family.
