Selena provided outstanding service during check-in. Her customer service skills are truly exceptional. I observed her interacting with several guests, including those who were a bit challenging, and she handled each situation with grace, patience, and a genuine smile. Her professionalism, calm demeanor, and compassion stood out. Selena is a valuable asset to Motel 6 Mesa and deserves to be recognized for her excellent work.

Nothing to write home about but generally speaking it was okay. My room was clean and I had some decent sleep, so no big issues there. The worse thing was that whenever my neighbors switched on their showers the pipes would make a really loud noise in my room, scaring the life outta me each time. Also doors slam really hard which is nobody’s favourite feature in a hotel.

I don't want this to be all negative, because I stayed here for 2 months and upto my final day there I only had 1 other complaint. The entire house keeping staff was always very, kind, courteous and friendly with every interaction I had with them being pleasant. The maintenance man Lyle was very respectful, understanding and helpful with the interaction I had with him especially with it not being an easy conversation to have with a guest. Then there is Salena who was an absolutely wonderful dealing with. I never saw her with out a welcoming smile. She was always on top of things and besides the first time I had extended my stay she remembered who I was and what room I was in. I typically would make my reservation and payment via a 3rd party app and she would already have me checked in before I made it to the office. If this review was based solely on her this would be a 5 Star review, in turn had my review not included her this would be a 1 star review. Now we get to Bobby, prior to my last interaction with her, both she and this entire review would have been 5 stars. Bobby had the opportunity to be the all star employee because it was ultimately her decision on how to handle my issue from the prior night with Sheri. Now it was pointed out to me by Bobby where the rules of the hotel were posted. I admit I was not negligent for not having studied them as well as I had my SAT's. Because apparently I should have. Or if I could make a suggestion that areas of zero tolerance be added to the print out and perhaps those of great importance be highlighted or in bold print so guests can get a better understanding. Just a suggestion. On my final night I had a friend visit who arrived during the rare rain storm we had. Since the weather was poor as soon as she arrived she had come running into my room trying to avoid getting soaked. After the storm cleared and she dried off her and I went to the office to register her as my guest. I had forgotten my key in the room and she had left to purse in the room as well. When I approached the night window and advise Sheri that I need a replacement key so my friend can get her ID so she can be registered as my guest. Sheri then tells me that she needed to be registered before she entered my room and I would be losing my deposit. I attempted to explain it was because of the storm she came in first and Sheri wanted to hear nothing more of it. She did register my guest and told me that I would have to take it up with Bobby in the morning. Believing Bobby was a reasonable woman and could surely get see the gray in the rules with the storm and all, there would be no issues. Especially with the length of my stay and not having any other issues from me. I am not sure if it was because Sheri and Bobby are friends and she had her friends back or if Motel 6 does not empower their managers to make a decision that falls into the gray area of black and white rules. Regardless of that she told me Sheri said I did not approach her to register my guest, that she saw her on the camera and confronted me on having an unregistered guest, which is a complete lie. Because I mentioned registering my friend to Sheri not vise versa. Which is even more of a reason I feel Bobby dropped the ball here, because after I told this to her she just shut down and began giving me canned responses instead of listening to the customer. Had she taken the time to review footage of the incident she would have seen that I was telling the truth, and her coworker lied. Perhaps because of laziness, being too busy or not caring what the customes was telling her, this was not done. Instead I was told that I need to check out, my deposit is not being returned and I am being placed on the "Do Not Rent List". In my opinion this was handled very unprofessionaly and is quite upsetting and honestly extremely disappointing. I have never received as many apologies or felt the level of empathy from every other employee that I interacted with that final day, which tells me I'm not the only 1 who felt like I do.
