This place wasn't so bad. Scotty made sure everything was good to go. The only real bad thing I can really say is that the housekeepers really need a dustpan, because sweeping all that trash and food out the room into the hallway is really destroying the carpet. You can see them literally walking the food and dirt into the carpet and on top of that they walk it back in the rooms as they enter it so many times in the time they clean the room. But other then that the staff was amazing I can honestly say that. Ill be back just because of the hospitality and the respect these workers actually got. And for all you guests that down talking them and the place just know its yous as guests that make it look this way. Y'all as guests that destroy their stuff and make complaints because y'all can't get a discount for something y'all destroyed. And that parking lot is always being cleaned because y'all can't walk your own trash to the trash cans they got all around the building. Y'all as guests are just sad. Much love MOTEL 6 GLENDALE
Probably one of the worst places I've ever stayed. I genuinely don't know how it has any positive reviews. The first room I was checked into looked like a battle had taken place: one of the beds was flipped up against the wall, the coat rack was broken from the wall, some laundry strewn about, and others had a pink mystery stain on it. Needless to say, I got a new room. But in this second one: one bed smelled like urine and the other smelled like body odor, some light switches and outlets were inoperable, the shower was visibly stained, the bathroom door was flimsy and coming apart, and there was a red sauce still splotched on the floor. The hallway outside the room was visibly dirty for much of my stay. Even after it (eventually) got vacuumed there was a large splashy stain on the carpet. But somehow the staff managed to mop the lobby at all hours of the day. Some of the other guests were loud and clearly under the influence of something. Two were making out in the elevator. The building smelled like weed. A fire alarm was left doing the low-battery chirp the whole time I was there. When I inquired about a washing machine for guests, I was told "I think it's out of order." The only positive things I have to say about this place are 1) that an employee named T. was sympathetic about the first disaster of a room and got me the second one without a hassle, and 2) it's close to dining and grocery options. This place is a testament to despair. Somewhere along the line (corporate, management, employees) the ball has been very repeatedly dropped. I feel most badly for any decent employee who has to endure the indifference and mediocrity of this workplace environment.
Where to start... 1. looks like they are doing renovations? There was a guy carrying lumber when we checked in, but who knows. 2. There is a security guard after 9:30 pm for "your safety", yet the guard didn't even look at us when we walked in at 11 pm. He was on his phone. 3. There is a plexiglass wrap around the front desk, and it looked like someone had recently taken a beating to it/or prior. 4. Get to the room and the bathroom door is kicked in at the bottom (see photo), smells of something/musky/cigarettes etc. it's a non smoking room. 5. There were Rollie Pollies that came out at night or after your shower. 6. They are non refundable if you decide "wow this is rough" let's go somewhere else. 7. I took a shower with my socks on, as I didn't feel comfortable enough to walk on bare floors. (Thankfully brought more than one pair of socks) 8. No toiletries 9. Thankfully no bedbugs (fingers crossed) 10. We stayed two days due to already paying for it; day of check out I noticed blood splattered on the wall behind me (see photo) 11. Randomly key cards will stop working and when you go to the desk you get someone who asks "what do you want" 12. Keys deactivated "by being next to phones" 13. Anyone will let you into a room without question. 14. The hallway reeked of cat urine. 15. I am certain there is more.
