Motel 6 New Braunfels

The room and hotel were good. You can tell that the property is dated but everything still worked and the front desk lady was very sweet. Don't expect this to be the most luxurious stay but our room was clean and the stay was fine for a short weekend.

Just a heads up — I strongly recommend avoiding Motel 6. I had one of the worst experiences of my life there. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a horrible smell — like rotten fish — that nearly made me sick. The hallway to our room was full of stains and had a foul odor, and things only got worse from there. Our door looked like it had mold and was barely hanging on by the doorknob. It felt completely unsafe. The bathroom door wasn’t any better, and the sink and shower were in terrible condition — old, rusty, and honestly just gross. We even saw termites in the shower and a roach in our room. All of the lamps were broken, the mattress was stained, and sleeping there was awful. I had disturbing dreams all night — something I’ve never experienced before — and my husband had to stay up to take care of me. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unsettling stay. I would never go back, and I hope you don’t either. There are better, cleaner, and safer places to stay.

I stayed there this weekend, had stayed there once before. The 1st time it was good. Now, this weekend it was bad. So upon arrival the pool was closed, they closed at 10pm. We stayed in 206. Please check you’ll room. I ended up bringing bedbugs home. My son got bitten while sleeping. Now I’m scared they reproduce here at my home. Smh.
