Motel Le Pont

The location of the hotel, while not directly in the city center, sits on the river. The room I was in had a lovely terrace to sit on with a view of the river and countryside. Private parking on site, and plenty of it. Breakfast included in the price. Room was relatively small, as was the bathroom, but it was comfortable enough. Friendly enough staff. Restaurant and bar on site and a lovely outdoor seating area right on the river. Would come back.

In its time i bet this place would have been state of the art. The art deco style i interesting. Rooms are small and sparse. Thee is an a suite. Quite noisy. No lifts. Food ok but not amazing. Locals love it. Little English spoken. Stairs slippery when wet. Breakfast is on menu. No real selection (no cereal, fruit but you have to ask no yoghurt).

We didn't get the room as shown in pictures (reserved by Booking). Instead we got room with old fashioned bed and wardrobes and barely working AC (not sure if it was working at all really). The room smelled of cigarettes. The stuff was actually nice to us, and the breakfast was very good! But I hate false advertisement and cigarettes, so 2 stars.
