Mountain view Private apartments in Pirin Golf and SPA resort

A wonderful hotel with the potential to be perfect if the rooms undergo a refreshing renovation. In our room, the balcony door was loose and could have fallen at any moment, and the light bulb in the bathroom wasn't working, but it was replaced promptly. As we stayed during one of the hottest weeks of the year, the room temperature was 28 degrees Celsius and there was no air conditioning. However, it was cool outside at night, and the open window allowed for normal sleep. The staff is very polite, predominantly from Asia, and the housekeepers even cleaned the children's playground, which is a commendable hotel policy! There are many well-built playgrounds for children, and the large area of the complex allows for pleasant walks.

We had a 2 day vacation in the hotel. I must say we are impressed. First of all , all areas we saw were cleaned (even some ladies were non-stop moping water near the inside pool). The food was delicious and nutritious with dozens of varieties to choose from. The temperature in the whole hotel was perfect, even for babies and toddlers. One of the best things we noticed was the STAFF! EVERYONE was kind, polite, with a smile, always ready to help or cooperate. The personnel always had an eye out for all of our needs. Everyone assisted in making as feel as comfortable as possible (telling us about different activities, places to visit, etc, reservations for other restaurants in the complex). There are 3 warm water pools in perfect condition, with a view! The inside pool is big, well maintained, and has perfect temperature. Our family really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful place. The view from every corner is amazing and breathtaking! We did a shuttle tour around the golf court, and it was mesmerizing! Our kid had lots of playgrounds to choose from - bouncy castle, inside playground, outside playgrounds, kids cinema. We will definitely come back! I recommend the place, highly!

The resort itself is beautiful and has huge potential but is obviously struggling commercially. That reflects in details like tea and coffee in rooms being charged as mini bar costs - something I’ve never seen in any hotel before. The on-premise restaurants are all terrible, every one of them, and the kind of standard you’d expect at a down-market coastal resort. The breakfast buffet has a lot of variety but so-so product quality - nowhere near what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. The International staff are all polite, competent and very friendly. Not all the local Bulgarian staff meet the same standard.
