We stayed at this hotel due to a flight cancellation. We arrived mid afternoon and rooms were not ready…understandably. The staff were so nice, very efficient and attentive, especially the reception and housekeeping staff. We really had a great stay here. The pool was lovely and clean. The beds were super comfortable, too. Thank you!
I stayed here for one night. The rooms were well renovated, the AC was better than the rest of the hotels we had during our trip. The carpet outside was a little dirty. The restaurant and dinner service was disappointing. - There weren’t many people there, we asked if we could be seated at a specific table and were denied. - We asked for sparkling water but were given natural water. - We had a three course set menu but the food was not that good. The pork tenderloin was too salty.
Since this is the first time in the past 15 years that I’m writing a negative review about a hotel, I’ll try to be concise and objective: I understand that in this region — for understandable reasons (a high number of one-day tourists) — most hotels are not known for excellent service or high quality. However: 1. The air conditioning in the room did not work. As it turned out, the issue affected the entire floor. The duty manager tried to fix it by rebooting the system across the whole hotel, but nothing helped. 2. One of the windows had no handle and was essentially always open — meaning the “closed” position didn’t register. I suspect this may have been the root of the A/C problem, but instead of fixing the window, they kept rebooting and disabling the central A/C system. 3. The thermostat in the bathroom was broken, and only very hot water was coming out. 4. We were moved to another room, but it was of a lower category. We went from a so-called “superior” room to a regular one, which didn’t even fit an extra bed for a child. Eventually, we were given an additional standard room, but again, both rooms were a downgrade from what I had originally booked — especially frustrating when you’re hoping to get some proper rest after a long journey. The staff themselves were polite and tried to help, and they apologized — but that didn’t really make the experience any easier or more acceptable for us.
