I had a great experience staying at Moxy! Not only was it convenient and close to the airport with easy shuttle service, but the room was also nicely designed, with a fun and stylish vibe that matched the overall feel of the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating—they even assisted me in using my Marriott Bonvoy gift card, which I’d had trouble with elsewhere—all despite my very late arrival. This was the perfect place to rest before my long flight. I’d definitely stay again. Thank you!

I stayed at the Moxy Hotel at Schiphol Airport for 1 night during a long layover. The hotel itself is trendy and functional, and I appreciated the proximity to the airport. However, my experience was marred by a serious billing issue and lack of customer support. I had pre-booked and prepaid the reservation weeks in advance via Expedia. Upon check-in, I was told I’d only be charged a $35 incidental fee, which led me to believe my reservation had been properly recognized. At no point did the front desk representative inform me of any issue with payment. I proceeded to my room assuming everything was in order. However, upon checkout, I was unexpectedly charged again for the room ~ on top of the expected city tax and shuttle fee. I received the e-mail receipt once I arrived at the airport and immediately emailed the Moxy team. I got home more than 15 hours later, I still had no response. I attempted to call the hotel nearly 10 times, but no one ever picked up… I then contacted Marriott customer service, who couldn’t help either because the booking was through Expedia, even though I had provided my Bonvoy account. Eventually, I was able to speak with a hotel representative named Majed, who said he would resolve the issue within 15 minutes ~ and then abruptly hung up. No one answered when I tried calling again. I finally received a response the next morning from someone named Gabriel Mateo, who stated: “Regarding your reservation made through Expedia.com, sometimes we do not receive the correct payment details from the platform. In such cases, if there is an issue with the credit card provided, our system will automatically attempt to charge the guest’s card on file.” Frankly, this explanation does not sit well with me. If this is a known recurring issue, it should be proactively addressed ~ not something guests find out about after being double-charged. This has never happened to me before, and I find the entire situation unprofessional and avoidable. The hotel itself is fine, but because of this billing error, poor communication, and lack of accountability, I cannot give more than 2 stars.

I am deeply disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The service quality fell far short of expectations, and several issues made my experience genuinely frustrating. Room Issues: The basic amenities in my room were non-functional. Both the soap dispenser and shower fixtures didn't work properly, which is unacceptable for any hotel claiming to provide quality service. Transportation Disaster: When I checked in, I specifically requested information about airport shuttle service. The staff provided completely incorrect information about how the service operates. As a direct result of their misinformation, I missed the shuttle this morning and was left stranded, waiting 30 minutes with no alternative solution offered. Inefficient Check-out: during check-out, where only one staff member was handling all guests despite having two people at the desk. I wasted valuable time in an unnecessarily long queue when I should have been heading to the airport. I've stayed at Moxy hotels in Sion twice before, and the service quality was completely different – actually professional and competent. This location seems to operate by entirely different standards.
