Moxy Chester

Booked last minute after being stranded in Liverpool post title parade. A short walk from Chester Station, beside the canal. Lovely hotel with a welcoming, relaxed vibe. Smart, functional rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Air conditioning in room was a bit noisy, had to keep it on to dry my clothes off, but the bed was so comfy that I had a great sleep anyway. Breakfast was very good, served until 10am. 12 noon checkout was great. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. There was building work going on but it didn't disturb my stay at all.

Had an issue with a accidential double charge. Was dealt with staff member Dave who went above and beyond to assist and help me reassured me as I have anxiety . Complementary room given whilst issue was resolved and made my stay special. No other issues apart from this but the staff member Dave needs recognition for his amazing customer service and how he went above and beyond his job role to help me honestly such a lovely person lovely hotel and I'll be back because of this service x

How is this not a 4 star hotel? Only a few minutes walk from the station (car park was not fully open). The welcome drink from Koala Keith (excellent host) and the team was lovely. Enjoyed the pinball, pool table and quirky feel. Definitely recommend if you are staying in Chester. Breakfast was excellent too. Look out for the two really good bars just along the canal and the Indian restaurant too. Would have given 5 stars if the lager choice was better. I'm not a fan of Stella (It also doesn't suit your funky style either). Thanks Moxy we will be back
