I can’t rave about this hotel enough !!! It was absolutely amazing from the cleanliness of the room to the amazing staff. I had an injury on my trip and had access to no medical help I went down to the reception at 5am and explained my situation to a lovely lady with a pixie cut unfortunately I didn’t get her name. I explained my situation and she was nothing but warm and embracing when I was in so much pain. She gave me wraps and bandages she also gave me a hot drink. She took her time and didn’t rush me she was so gentle. She saved me big time on my trip. The housekeeping are heaven sent with my injury it was hard to stop blood and other stuff going onto the sheets. The housekeeping changed our sheets everyday cleaned everything to an extremely high standard. Completely took away the paranoia of inconveniencing them and it’s also an embarrassing situation. But no they cleaned my room and greeted me every time they saw use asking if we needed anything or if we were short of anything I felt so cared for. Every staff member was so lovely I stayed for 5 days and didn’t have a bad interaction once. Regardless if it was 5am or 11pm. Would recommend everybody to stay here it’s fantastic the location is a little far out but I loved it as we walked everywhere and got to see a different Glasgow that you don’t see from a taxi. I became a member so happy I did because I will stay here every time without a doubt. Already planning my next trip back
Really funky, really nice experience over all! Rooms are really good value, neat and clean, nice size and well equipped with what you need. I find the food and drinks a bit on the expensive side, however the food was really good! I had a burger for dinner and it was great tasting and decent size. Breakfast had a really good selection going, classic hot food as well as a very interesting variety of fruit and cold items along with cereals and other nifty things, so that was really good. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was how the service is set up.. but thats just me being more traditional in that sense. The location of this hotel is really good being so close the stadium and lots of conference facilities.
The people who work here are amazing. They are kind and personable and helpful. Despite how much I enjoyed the staff, I have to be honest about the rooms though: it was like a cell. Decorated well, but not at all comfortable. There was no mini fridge to save your leftovers, more importantly there was no place to put your clothes. No drawers, *no closet*! There was only 3 hooks on the wall with 3 hangers. And one stand for your suitcase. If you have more than one suitcase this becomes a real issue. There was two of us in the room—it was a double room—so this did not work out well for us. The bathroom had only one towel bar, which again causes problems when you have to hang one hand towel and two body towels. There was also no ventilation in the bathroom which was kind of gross. The bed itself was very uncomfortable, very stiff, and the pillows were also overly firm, I didn’t get a good nights sleep there despite staying for a little over a week. However, the lobby downstairs was a fun hangout spot and the bar had a good selection, and once again, the staff was wonderful.
