Moxy NYC Times Square

I had a great experience here for 2 nights. My room was a tighter fit than other hotels, but exactly what I wanted for my stay in downtown New York City! Side note, I thought the shower was fantastic! I also visited the rooftop bar AND restaurant, which both exceeded my expectations. The rooftop bar was decorated exceptionally, and had great views.

Bang in the centre of the city. Easy access to all touristy activities. Walking distance to Times Square. Lots of restaurants nearby. Next door to the biggest Macy, H&M, and many more branded store. Only disappointing thing is the size of the room. It ends before you step into it. The smallest rooms i have ever slept in.

Moxy was great overall, but for $300+ a night, we weren’t impressed! Still a clean place to sleep at night and conveniently located so close to lots of highlights of NYC, but we didn’t leave with the impression that this would be a place we visit again and again. No parking nor discounted rates for the super expensive parking next door. The bar on the roof top gets packed with non-guest outsiders- mostly a well dressed younger crowd. The bouncer even happily gets some cash from random outsiders to let them in the elevator ahead of everyone else. The $20 food n beverage credit to be used on the second floor bar/restaurant or the cafe next door was great. You better use it at cafe Avignon next door- very good stuff!! Rooms are clean. Cleaning service was also top notch! No fridge in the room, and the room was really tight albeit accommodating all your needs. You may hear some noise at night but great job with rooms overall. Check in and check out were smooth. Decent experience for us overall with price tag being a little over.
