First time at a Moxy, very different when used to Marriott. Family of three so a larger room with an extra sofa bed, overlooking the Muzenplein. The whole experience is supposed to be somewhat trendy and cool, but I think I still prefer an old fashioned wardrobe instead of the metal racks on the wall. However, everything was new and working, room was quiet, we had a window that opened a bit for fresh air, staff was friendly and the location of this particular hotel is very convenient. We drove and there is a discount on the car park below, which we found spacious and clean. Its entrance locks at night to avoid unwanted visitors. Best of all, price was very favourable compared to other offerings. Any negatives? Lifts seem to struggle a little with the amount of guests and no coffee or tea in rooms. The automatic night light under our bed seemed to come on during the night at times without us moving around. We would happily return to Moxy and enjoy another complimentary drink at the bar!
very friendly and kind, I loved the breakfast here there was a lot of options. The hotel is located very nicely-as it is also beside lots of different shopping centres and restaurants, also it was very near the train, bus and tram stations. It is also worth noting there is free WiFi, lockers and an Ironing room. Overall a positive experience and stay, thank you! :D
We stayed at the Moxy for a couple of nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is centrally located and conveniently close to the train station, making it an excellent choice for exploring the city. Given its price point and prime location, we felt it offered good value. Our room was spacious, filled with natural light, and thoughtfully organized. We especially loved the cozy built-in corner armchair. The modern open hanging rack for clothes, though not our personal style, contributed to the room’s clean and airy feel. There are a few points to note. The bed was not very comfortable, which affected the quality of our sleep. Additionally, the room did not include a kettle or coffee maker, and there was no safe; instead, lockers were available on the main floor. However, for storing important documents or valuables, in-room safes would have been preferable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the lobby area was stylish and inviting. We noticed umbrellas were available to borrow (though we didn’t use them), and there was a lively bar on the ground floor. Housekeeping was timely but could have been more thorough. For example, after returning to our room, we found the toilet paper nearly empty with no spare roll provided. It took almost an hour to receive a replacement after contacting the front desk. On a positive note, we did not encounter any issues with noise during our stay, which made for a more relaxing environment. Overall, despite some drawbacks, the Moxy offers a modern, centrally located stay with great staff and a vibrant atmosphere.
